Let's Put the Pro in Proactive Lifeguard In-Services

Imagine you are standing on the pool deck when all of a sudden, you hear the whistle blasts go off, see your lifeguard jump in and begin in-water respiration. Your response team arrives on scene and gets to work. The reality is: lifeguards play a critical role in the chain of survival. As first responders, your guards can make the difference in patient outcomes. In this session, we'll look at the role that lifeguards play as first responders. We will discuss industry best practices from the Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC) to identify the minimum standard of care expected from aquatics professionals. And finally, we'll work on developing in-service sessions that will create meaningful opportunities that will leave your staff feeling like the professional responder they should be. We can't prevent every emergency, but we can be proactive when developing our guards. Take control of your in-service training now to help your staff be the best pro they can be.
